Bilateral trade between Bahrain and Italy recorded a 28 per cent increase in 2022, indicating a continuation of the growth trajectory.
Also highlighted during a meeting between Bahrain Chamber chairman Sameer Nass and Italian Ambassador Paola Amadei was the 124pc year-on-year increase in Bahrain’s exports to Italy.
Held at the Bahrain Chamber’s headquarters yesterday, the meeting saw both sides expressing pleasure at the growing business relations between Bahrain and Italy, while highlighting the potential of two-way tourism.
The meeting touched upon the success of Italian businesses in Bahrain and Bahraini businesses and investments in Italy and endorsed joining efforts to bolster the role of the Italy-Bahrain Business Council.
Also attending the meeting were co-chairmen of the Italy-Bahrain Business Council Khalid Al Zayani and Ignazio Moncada; Bahrain Chamber’s vice-treasures Waleed Kanoo; executive committee member Bassem Al Saie; board members Yousif Salahuddin, Nawaf Al Zayani; and chief executive Dr Abdulla Al Sada.
